BJD Artist Academy organizes four pre-recorded courses into a clear path: first-faceup fundamentals, a deeper core workflow, advanced effects and body painting, and custom eye design.

Free learning guides
Our free guides organize faceup and eye-making topics into practice steps, material questions and checks you can use at your own work table. They are published by BJD Artist Academy and link to the relevant pre-recorded course when you want a fuller demonstration.
Images are captioned to explain what they show. A public course-preview still illustrates that moment of work; it does not establish a product’s formulation or prove compatibility with every doll. For sealants and cleaners, use the current product instructions and your doll maker’s guidance.
Each guide shows its last content-update date. If a passage is unclear, send the page address and your question to our support contact so we can review it.

BJD Artist Academy is the publisher of the free guides on this site. Our course pages list the recorded lesson topics so you can compare a guide’s practice suggestions with the scope of a course before enrolling.
The beginner guide’s three visual checkpoints are frames from our existing public course preview, at 00:03, 00:15 and 00:33. Each caption identifies its source. The frames are resized for the page, not repainted or presented as a complete before-and-after lesson. The accompanying notes separate what is visible from what you can practice.
